North Gauhati College was established in 1962 as a coeducational degree arts college to disseminate higher education in northern part of erstwhile Kamrup district, part of Darrang District with a mission to produce graduate in every household in Greater North Guwahati area. It is located in College Nagar amidst serene surrounding providing an ideal ambience for learning.
It has an efficient and qualified pool of faculties in Arts and Science Streams who never hesitate to give their best in academic improvement of students. As such it has the potential to bring best out of mediocre students.
The College is going to get a facelift with the construction of a new well-furnished four storied building with all modern amenities fulfilling thereby the needs of the students. Therefore I hope to provide the best to the students’ inspite of constrained facilities at present. It is also true that proper attention, urge to learn make a student overcome all hurdles to shine in life.
Wishing all good it can be asserted that North Gauhati College beckons all learners to join this institution to achieve greater heights in academics and march towards a bright future.
